:girlsad3: I've had COD all day here. Refreshing does not help. And no settings to try a lower resolution that we do at Berry to stop the COD.

:flirty: Finally got to see both of them. The last several days when I have checked in I was unable to catch a visit. A few minutes ago he was in the nest and came out and headed toward the cam and out of view. Kept hearing something and suddenly she popped out from behind the nest onto the ledge.

:flirty: Earlier today I did get to see her on the ledge up against wall. This evening the lights did not come on.

:flirty: After dark this evening I saw her on the ledge for the 1st time as she does for a few days before her 1st egg is laid. When I came back @ 2:17 am I could hear her rustling about and moving gravel in the nest box, but it is too dark to see her. She normally does not go in the nest during the night unless she is going to lay her egg. I was not able to check the cam during the day, so do not know if she hung about the nest or not. I tried to pull up the 19th to see if she slipped into the nest box before midnight, but it would not come in for me. Curious to see if there will be an egg here in the morning. She is quiet now if still in there, but she was very restless sounding for over an hour previous.

:teehee: I will acknowledge myself: Yes there is an egg this morning, be curious no more. This one does not enter her nest at night unless she is ready to lay her egg. It is the 3rd season in a row that I have been able to witness this.

Also awhile ago, I heard a very loud scream while the tab was up and went in, but could not see anything with all the diamonds. Then I started seeing debris falling as if someone were on top of the cam. Soon a falcon came out of the nest and up to the ledge and ran down it and out of sight. Then someone flew in to the nest. After a bit, I saw a falcon carrying prey come out through the diamonds and scurry toward the cam and out of sight. I have heard both talking back and forth at times.

:flirty: She's been incubating. The diamonds are gone, but something slightly obscures right where we would like to see. Wonder if this is bloom on the lens?

:eggthumb: I've got your remaining 1% surety Beth, so you can have 100%...At the end of the 8:38 PM minute, I finally caught her lining up her brood patch before getting on the egg. Odd thing, I think she raised back up maybe to realign and then she fell forward onto it. Unsure if she actually made contact with it, but I felt badly for her as she looked down at her egg to check it out. Then she lined up her brood patch again and laid down.

I was glad to see this as I was beginning to doubt myself even though I could clearly see the egg in your capture. I had watched all day for her behaviors and to get a glimpse of the egg and I saw nothing other than her lying on the nest at times and could only assume some incubation at least. Plus VDWR has not made any statements nor zoomed the cam today as I expected they would. If we don't hear from them later this evening, I'm sure we'll see a great write-up with their captures and videos they usually do for the first egg. Unless I missed it somehow, I don't think she hung about the nest on the ledge or rooftop in the preceding nights as she normally has in the past.

Many thanks Swinwk, I was also surprised we didn't get the write up yesterday and
not moving the cam in.
~Maybe today...
