Just came in on a feed already in progress that was difficult to watch for quite some time as the 3 oldest were up front and getting all the bites while chick 4 was struggling to get its head out of the chick pile from the back. All the while you could hear its muffled screams. It went on for a long time and finally it broke through the crowd by sticking its head out from the front of the pile, but was not close enough in height to get any bites.

Then finally as some of the others were not as feisty in getting bites, chick 4 got upright and in a better position and went on to get 22 bites that I could see. Mom also got some bites. Chick 4 still had its beak upward and open when she got over them to brood!

Came in and the chicks were alone, then Dad arrived at 3:23 real time down into the nest and back out again. Dad back into the nest at 3:26 and right back out again. Mom arrives at 3:27 and a feed is in progress! The feed was blocked.

She left with tiny remains at 2:44, then Dad right in to feed a whole bird in the same minute! Could see all had crops. It too is primarily a blocked feed, but did get to see 3 of them get bites.

Mom returned at 3:53 and Dad stopped the feed abruptly and circled around the chicks to the right and dropped the remains and around behind them, then out of the nest to the left. Mom picked up his remains of 1 dark feather with a little meat hanging from it and left with it.

Mom returns at 3:56 to brood after picking off a scrap from one of their heads. She is using her "57 Chevy" pose again to contain them. Then they all quiet down.

OMG, she left at 4:23 and right back in to feed them some more! It wasn't much and no remains, then she left at 4:26 and you could tell she flew up to the parapet. And back down at 4:28 to brood.

I thought when she was done, I'd get a look at the one who was hidden during the feed to see how big a crop he had, but when she finished the feed, she covered them. The one that was caught in between the 2 chicks up front, made it to the front and ended up with a nicely sized crop! :CLAPS:

A very loud feed is in progress! Bones cracking, meat ripping, chicks screaming! All chicks were active in the feed. They consumed it all, then Mom broods.

The chicks are alone in the nest and asleep for quite awhile. I am sure Mom or Dad are right outside the nest somewhere.

If the 3rd one from the left was facing the same way as the others, it would have been better, but I think this was great! Even got Mom in it! :10sum:

Mom is standing to brood the chicks tonight. Did not come in at the right times to catch a feed today. But, when I did check, they were in a pile sleeping with a parent just off cam I'm sure.

Feed in progress! And it is very noisy. Chick 4 seems to be gaining a little ground now growth wise. They pretty much consumed it all and Mom had nothing to take out as she left, then she found a feather with a little meat and stopped and took it with her. When she returned she looked for any scraps and found 1 morsel and eventually gave it to Chick 4. They are piled up and Mom is standing over them. Sure is quiet now...
