Not sure exactly when, but one of the chicks is out of the scrape and on the ledge up against the building. Must have been around noon today.

Thanks, Terka. At one point yesterday all five chicks were out of the scrape. Have only seen them in the scrape this morning. And I think the banding can be watched just by looking at the web cam as usual.

I just watched the banding video..

I'm not sure I got all of these correct:

    Blue (large male)~b/g 32//CA
    Yellow (male)~b/g 33/CA (I think..never saw or heard)
    Green (female)~b/g 34/CA
    Red (female)~b/g 35/CA

No info on chick that was banded first and placed back in the box.

Should be 3 males, 2 females. I'm far from being an expert, but its odd to see sequential numbers on different genders AND I though odd to leave fly larvae in a chick's ear...just saying..since I was zooming through the vid, I hope I just missed the explanation or the complete info.

Hopefully, Jane or Sue can pop in and confirm or correct what I have.

I watched whole video Maryanne .
Blue was borderline( could be large male or small female so banded female)32/CA

yellow - male b/g 06/BZ
Green- Female b/g- 34/CA
Red - ( borderline so banded female) 35/CA

[/quote]

they never gave sex of band of 5th one on tape but said banded adn put on ledge to keep adutls Happy.
they were jsut answering someones question about if fly larvae in ear, why no t treat it. they said they could but they outgrow it and to treat puts them through a lot of stress as they use mineral oil and pull them out.
you did pretty good sGB just one wrong band males are BZ

I can tell you that the bird banded and put back on the ledge right away is a female. I have messed up with her band info, but she is sporting two color strips - red and yellow. For anyone who has watched the banding video, very near the start you can see ME sitting in the front row. I am wearing a blue shirt with a Peregrine on it.

I watched the whole thing Jane. Saw Sue when they called her up, will go back and look for you.

I wished they had said the band at beginning. So the bigger males or small male ( 2 of them ) will be known when they nest . Lol :egg11:

You will be kept busy at watch
