Just saw M43 (INDIANA Girl) up on the ledge...She hopped into the nestbox, I imagine checking it out.....which reminds me, I hope the floor has been repaired.....anyone heard? Port Washington

Port Washington- the peregrine on cam seems bloodied and a bit “mussed”..... either just ate a large prey, or it has been fighting with another falcon... it had black and red bands, so it’s is either Beasley, or Brinn has returned to send the new girl packing.....Any input is appreciated....The falcon gave its tail a hitch and has taken off again.....It has come back with a piece of flesh on its beak , making that shrill call that indicates an intruder....

Port Washington- to me the peregrine looks very battered... is this Beasley, the male?.......Im just noticing the gash at the back of its neck. And why does its beak look like that? I’d really like someone to tell me what they think....

Weston, gorgeous falcon is facing into the nestbox but has his head turned to look out.......

Port Washington, Wounded male has been on the ledge all day, or at least while I was watching. His “face”looks a little better than yesterday, but his front (chest) is bloody and dirty. He is missing a tail feather. This morning he must have spotted the female and he called to her, but she didnt come. He has been preening all day, often extending his wings and “hitching” his shoulders. Currently the female is sitting on the nearby wing of the building, even looking at him but not calling. I’m thinking that mostly he needs food......
EDIT I am thinking the falcon I am seeing this afternoon may not be the wounded falcon. I only see his back, but the feathers look smooth, normal, and this falcon seemed more relaxed. Ah- he took off with a strong push from the ledge, circled around to the female and mated with her.........And so it goes.....

The male stayed in the booth and calls the female. She ran away.

Port Washington- Oh Terka- I feel like I’m playing Chinese Checkers! So Brinn has been battling M43, and is pretty beat up.? So when I was watching this afternoon, who did the male go mate with over on the corner of the building?

Port Washington- Beasley has been waiting and waiting for Brinn to come up to the nestbox. At one point he went on a search and seemed to have found her as he came back honking away. But to his disappoint, she didnot follow And this “worry wart” finds it concerning, too. But one thing made me happy- when he was still expecting Brinn, Beasley hopped down into the nest box and I heard the sound of gravel being pushed around- lots of gravel. Hopefully the holes have been repaired :loveheart:

Port Washington- Beasley on the ledge calling and calling. Then he hops into the nestbox to scrape a little and now back on the ledge calling. Hopefully Brinn is just taking the day off....

Port Washington- Well Yay, I think Brinn is back! She was in the nestbox when I first looked in. Beasley comes streaking past and she flies to the “building extension” nearby expecting to mate. But (I think) instead he landed on the roof to tease her with a food gift and then they took off for the stand of trees at the bottom of the hill. She came back fairly quickly and was picking her talons like she had just eaten
