Just saw Brinn and Beasley mate on the perch. Her beak still looks beat up to me. I hope it heals before she needs to be feeding her young...

Port Washington, Beasley is sitting on the perch while Brinn is over on the rooftop of other wing of the building eating prey. I wonder if she caught it or if it’s a food gift from Beasley. She is working steadily to consume it, but to me seems to be pulling carefully, like her beak may still be sore.

Port Washington- I’ve been watching Brinn seeming to get weaker and weaker since her battle with M43. Tonight I only see Beasley on the perch looking and looking... Any idea what is going on?

Yes, Terka and I talked about it some, starting on March 3rd. At first I thought it was Beasley, but then TERKA showed me it was Brinn....

Port Washington- todayI saw Brinn for the first time in 6 or 7 days. She was out on the perch and Beasley came in for an enthusiastic mating :biggrin:

Maybe she just needed a few days “away” to get her strength back....

Port Washington- And they did it again! (Brinn (I assume) was perched on top of the next building, up pops Beasley from the nestbox, spots Brinn, bobs his head twice, and “burns rubber” flying over to Brinn and again mated enthusiastically. :biggrin:
