Another rainy day in Port Washington- I just saw a sibling over on the “corner” who started a squawking chorus with E67, the youngster stuck in the nestbox…. She has moved out of sight. 90% chance of rain here, with possible storms and gusty winds. At least the high will only be in the upper 70’s. I’ll be watching my 2 grandsons part of the day. If anyone would check in and make an observation, I’d appreciate it. Like I said the one in the nestbox is E67, and he has a fledged sibling, E66, that comes to check on him…

Thank you for the video of E67, Terka- It made me happy to see him so busily preening. Lately it seems like he has been just sitting and complaining (squawking) that he is lonely and needs more food….My husband complains about all the noise… :biggrin:

Just now caught a parent resting..

totally interrupted by one of the kids..missed that pic so will have to settle for this one of the screaming kid....who is now gone.

Oak Creek...fledgling has returned.
PW...tiny is screaming...of course...but I hear another kid screaming.

PW- Yes, Tiny is screaming …..again. His sibling E66 comes around and screams with him sometimes - yesterday even spent time with E67 on the ledge…. :loveheart:

Has anyone seen him being fed by a parent in the last 2 days? Speaking of the sibling, E66 has just arrived in the nestbox…Just saw mom deliver food to I’m guessing E65 over on the corner... Then in comes a parent and brings food to the nestbox! Tiny pounces on the prey and makes one big jump to the nestbox floor. NOT sharing. Kind E66 looks on as Tiny devours the prey. E66 has an evident, but not large, crop, so Tiny needed the prey more….E66 is still hanging around on the ledge :loveheart:

And E66 gets the leftovers…A little bit of beaking between the 2 siblings, and it looks like E66 will spend the night on the ledge with E67

E66 has stopped in to see E67 again ! Is she trying to cheer her sibling on in preparation for fledging? :flirty:

E67 (Tiny) has jumped down in the nestbox and is squawking loudly…Sibling E66 is looking at him as if they wish E67 would be quiet…Somebody just zoomed by- I think the other juvie, E65 ( Big Bertha)

Funny how sibling E66 likes hanging out with him… Seems like Brinn and Beasley would rather she (E66) be taking part in fledgling training……

PW - E67 is looking pretty good today- Even has a bit of a crop :loveheart:

And sibling E66 has been there with E67 for several hours… :loveshow:

Cam operator has it pulled in so tight, hopefully no one will jump off the right side, or we would never see it…

Cam is still pulled in... but the 2 juvies are sitting side by side on the ledge, and I am noticing how pretty E66's Back feathers are, deep brown and beautifully patterned :loveheart2:

Also, the 2 seem similar in size, so both girls?

PW- I just witnessed a beautiful flight by E66, the older sibling. A strong loop toward the trees and then skirting around the power plant property toward the nest box building and continuing on to my left. E 67 definetly noticed. :biggrin:

Oh boy, the baby of the family is almost ready to go…Just now he/she jumped out to the perch! Slipped a little but held on to stay out there several minutes. I thought he might jump over to the building, but stepped back into the nest box instead :10sum:

PW- A different evening for Tiny…Usually he could stand on the ledge and scream and scream and he would hear other peregrine noises, like juvies calling to their parents, or to each other. Tonight it was very quiet. Did Beasley and Brinn take the other two kids farther out tonight for their training? E67 is screaming like crazy, but there are no responses. He even looks out with long gazes, bobbing his head, looking in all directions, and he can’t hear or see anyone. He just finished up with his best, frenzied scream…Your turn is coming, E67 :loveheart:

Well! E67 is there stomping his feet and flapping his wings when Mom swoops up to him with a food delivery! As usual he snatches it and dives to the nestbox floor. Crazy kid!

And sibling, E66, is back to stay with E67 in the nestbox overnight. All is well.

PW- Sibling has remained in the nestbox with E67 most of the day, I think expecting to enjoy a food drop off from a parent….Looks like there has not been many food deliveries today. A parent flew by, E66 and E67 had a hissy fit and E66 took off chasing the parent. Parent out flew E66 as juvie ended up on the roof and parent was soaring over the power plant property

Tiny, E67, has taken the leap ( onto the perch and then the roof) He is currently over on the corner calling for food. The cam operator has him on an extreme close up so we can see his adorable head bobs, neck twists and soulful gazes. He/she is a beauty! :loveheart2:

:hap dance: Mom played a joke on Tiny (E67)…He/she was on the corner calling and mom brought in prey- head, feathers and all. Tiny was t sure what to do with it- just stood with the bird in his/her mouth, but finally started eating it. Later, the whole family flew over- Tiny was so excited! Sibling E66 stopped in to say hi :loveheart:

E67 is run/flapping along the top of the building…It would bea beautiful day for a young peregrine to learn how to fly… :flirty:

Well, after "Tiny's Big Adventure" out on the roof, She/he has decided to go rest in the nestbox....
