Yeah, cat, I knew it wasnt good.

One parent came, sat awhile, left, returned overnite.
I think it was the male but Im not sure.

I have a feeling the female is sick, she looked awful. New male this year may not feel up to raising young alone. Thats my best guess.

LATER
I heard chirping, clicked cam 2
The female's sitting in box #2 - re-nesting?
After while she is chirping with an offcam falcon.
But she stays on the ledge by nest #2

NIGHTFALL in Oz
She appears roosting on edge of cam 2 nest.
No one on eggs.

CONCLUSION
EGGS ABANDONED

The mods at Orange wont allow any discussion at all.
I HATE Hardline mods. NE FL eagle mods are horrible.

Female has nothing to do with the eggs at all.
The male drops by to warm them for awhile then leaves.
I saw both today.

I dont know why Collins doesnt collect the eggs

She's on them now. Maybe she's come out of whatever's wrong with her.

The female's been hanging on cam 2 - not the nest. She looks awful, sick.
Today she visited her eggs briefly when it was raining.
I dont believe any wil hatch - they've been alone most of the time for days.

cat - I think thats the male you saw - ? :egg16:

7 eggs in Oz 2 nests - and only 2 hatched.
I wish we had answers.

F22 has been looking a lot more alert and is still carrying some head injuries. She appears to have her right eye fully open more often. However, she has continued to be less than interested in maintaining the necessary regime for successful incubation of her eggs.

The eggs have had been left exposed too long at temperatures well below the critical 27 Deg C to have survived. These 4 eggs are not going to hatch.
