Incubation Day 37 / Day 3 - Rainy day...
The chick was fed only 3 times: at 5.42 am, 12.06 pm and 4.35 pm
but that last one was rather long (at this stage) at 11 minutes.
That chick is very strong, I am amazed at how stable it is when sitting, not wobbling
and falling all over the place. It even tried to grab some food for itself! Maybe by accident but still...
I think we're going to have to resign ourselves to have just the one chick again this year.
It's now been over 36 hours since the chick hatched
and all 3 eggs started being incubated at the same time so there shouldn't be that much of
a gap I'd say.
Happy to be proved wrong, we'll see.
Tom was again a great Dad, providing Flame with various prey to feed herself and the chick,
and brooding the chick as soon as she was away.
I managed some close ups of him, I hope you like them.
