Both males have fledged and are flying very well. It had been raining just before we arrived this morning and all four chicks were visible, two each on the lower roof pillars preening. Here are few pics from the last few days.

Name the Chicks Contest

Because of the loss of the Radisson nestsite this year, the Name the Chicks Contest will be to name the four chicks at the McKenzie Seeds Building in Brandon. The name theme this year is Jazz Music Greats. To find out more about the candidate names, click here

When we banded the four chicks at the end of June, we found there were two male chicks and two female chicks.
As a result, everyone gets to vote for two male names and two female names.

This is from a block west of the McKenzie building. Hurricane is perched in her favorite spot on the communications tower. One of the boys likes to perch on an aerial on the annex building. Oh, and that's a pigeon on the corner of the roof. I'd be nervous sitting there. :nervous:

There is a falcon here as of yesterday. It looks male but I have only seen it perch on the north light of the McKenzie bldg, which I find unusual. Brooklyn and/or Hurricane do not usually perch on that particular light. I couldn't read the number but the birdie does have a black band on the right leg, silver on the left. Today was dreary and snowy, so not great for taking photos....I took some anyway. Hopefully by the weekend there will be sunshine, which is much better for nice clear pictures. I am hoping this is Brooklyn. :egg8:
