Wondering if mom has poor eyesight.

But with lots of feeds yougster gets enough.

usually baby has had another feed between 5 am and you r feed. mom was hungry also, as she has a feed also.
there was a disturbance this morning. Peter checked it out on way to appt and way home. they were washing windows on roost building (CP) and it really upset the and threw them off a bit. The 2 being new to area were not used to this. RAdisson and Chase always put the chase on window washers and they stopped till after fledge.

Well, we learned something new this season.

I can't get over the size difference between the siblings!

there are 5 here . I think 3 females and 2 males. the smallest is 5 days younger than the oldest.
it makes a difference.

female feeds small prey at 5:49am
she needs to pick this up . she eats more than she gives( frustrating to watch her. it will be gone and kid needs more ;chick gets so tired waiting . she chups and then eats it. some feeds better than others. male needs to get out like before and get bigger prey now
but Kid usually has a full crop but would like to see bulging .
it definitely could have had more this morning, if Female had not eaten so much . no full crop

hearing kid but no sighting. adult flew off.
strange

edit . seen now at 7:59. starting flapping at south end and then flapped way down to north end on ledge out of view.

loosing fluff very quickly now. does a lot of flapping, just s long as it does not accidentally flap off ledge

it has been raining for over 12 hours so probably only small birds available righ t now

cam skipped from 1 am to 5:30 am so did not see K go morth but heard at 5:46 and 6:51am
have had lots of rain so ledge will be slippery.
needs a few more days home at nest ledge

The male at Genesee has same sort of strip. Maybe it will go away as it gets older.

Getting big!

Wish mom was a better housekeeper and took away the unused prey. That's a way to get parasites into the nestbox. Attracts predators, too. (Nothing says that dad can't do the same!)
