I am so happy to see this female. our young male is quite the hunter. He has fed her numerous meals today but finally he got the last one. I think she had enough

I hope this female can make this her home , and recover m and rest and guide this male( finish the job, our dear RAdisson started last season)


Miss my girl but she gave us many years of fun, chicks and doing things her way. I started with MIss Edmonton ( 2005) and then followed RAdisson from the day she arrived in the spring of 2008, till she migrated last Oct 2023. I will think of her retired in the warmth .( Well Deserved)

Peter and I went down to U of A this afternoon( Emyrauld was at the cam) to let us know who was in, if we could not see
The female was on west CP on a white aerial and male in box.
Don’t know why, but when we go down, it is always eventful.
Things were calm and then the male was off and we saw what we thought was 2 other falcons. One could have been a kestrel .
Male flew out quickly and appeared to fly quickly out SW.
Then flying and we for sure have an extra falcon. Male flew into box, calling and one flew in and onto left roof of box.
Female just stayed put, and then she all of a sudden, flew over to box and in. They were quite noisy as they bonded. One on roof stayed a minute and then just flew off. ( when I checked on cam, when home, parts I could see, indicated it was young)
Resident female then flew to an aerial on sw face of CP.

This male is an awesome flyer, quick and agile. Nice to watch him as he soared the area. I’m

At one point, female flew over and flew through Maz opening and I believe up to roof of CS.She is a strong fluid flyer. She was next seen on netting, that is why you see male looking that direction and chatting.
After watching this male from ground, The jury is out, who he is. I am leaning to, it not being last years male. Too many different things.
We will go down again in a few days later in day.o9
I do like this female.
I will post some photos from cam and when camera downloaded, a couple from there.

We are having 2 days of rain( which we need, snow, rain )

Looking for wounds on female in case that is who UOf A female tangled with. But we have quite a few places , she could have tangled with a female

Got up and went to see and she did spend night in box
We have heavy rains for next few days. She must not have figured out a roosting yet. Peter and I will check in next couple of days

We are cutting way back but this ste has 2 new apartments with glass balconies and big glass windows , right across .
No one cares anymore. Hopefully if eggs , a new couple will figure out a new place to fledge them. Like from upper roof.

Being on a nice covered ledge, these 2 can keep fairly dry, but prey will be scarce

Peter and i wen t down again around supper time to see where they are hanging out and for now they both seem ot be around nest box. She spends a lot of time on netting out of view an d he spends time at box. they also seem to frequent roof above box and and south west roof on side. that is great. And they frequent roof below box.
hopefully Peter gets photos downloaded.
Watched them both fly together and alone and are great fliers. she is a lot like Radisson and so I think , could she be the big girl from Bridge, when they nested there. Possible

Emyrauld got males band . B32( our same male since 2017, I think. Carrying on Radisson and Grren girls legacy. The female is carrying on Princess legacy ( legend of Winnipeg )
