maybe another female as well. Female came min very agitated just t now. very popular site and is on migration path. Not far from our Pembina river also.
oh man.
I do not like sound I hear in background. I guess I will have to wait to see who comes to box, but hop e no one hurt. was going on for quite a bit and still hear a bit. almost like whimpering now. the plant sound is very loud.
pictures later
edit to say, pictures tomorrow, but male came back and called bu t no on e else appeared. I am hoping got see female tomorrow. I quite like her. guess tomorrow will tell, but I do think a war of females today.
here are two in quick bond

I will be watching. I did see female on perch just after 6am . It was dark but saw the white above cere and heart on left side. So she is ok.

She went up on cam. They will be on guard now
Will post a few pictures so you can see her markings ( will do later)

Peter and I went out yesterday and Emyrauld graciously said she would watch cam so we could communicate what we were seeing. If we could only get a better watching place.
We only ever saw 2 falcons. Female spent her time on cam or rail and some box time. When she was not there, she soared over the area.
Resident male was on top of stack on opposite side from normal. I am thinking , that is direction other male had come from. We knew who it was as Emyrauld ID him, when he came to box.

Emyrauld saw a mating on cam(shadow) . We missed it, as He moved so quickly, that by the time I got focus on him, he had flown. We found him on other stack on rail.

We stayed a couple of hours.
So let’s hope no more drama and they nest in box. Will post pictures when Peter downloads camera tomorrow.

Thanks Emyrauld for watching the cam :15heartbeat:

well everything was looking good today, Female at box a lot and scraping. male at box and bonding, and he scraped.
Then at 8:49pm female to box upset. you could see flying in shadows. She left and came back . An unbanded falcon landed on roof. I think maybe a male, not sure. she went out on front and it was not certain what to do. . It flew of f and she went to cam.
8:16pm- our male comes to box and female follows and they bow. but he is watching the sky.
both left
8L48pm - male back in, Female back and they bond . He leaves
8:52pm -she leaves also. straight down
will see what tomorrow brings
