exchange right now but 4 eggs but hear the peeps. hope they do not all hatch but sounds like more than one chick

Just a few minutes ago.

I think there may be 2 here...

Picked this one right up...shell and all...so, maybe a second hatch? Don't know...reminded my of Green Girl at Wilmington her first clutch..well, actually Green totally removed the poor thing from the nest bowl..but,it was fine.

Has everything covered right now.

it does look like a fluffy and a pinky.
'we are having rain for nest few days.
wow rough handling. hop e all o.k.
doing a wee video. she wanted it ou t of the shell. if warmer out, may have been different.

male came in with prey, she left with it.

at 2:52 she came back and no prey, male left. not too sure how this is going to turn out. could be brutal.

Great pics and video, Bev...

I have my fingers crossed...When I caught myself gritting my teeth and holding my breath, I thought back to Wilmington and Green Girl..which, if you remember her first clutch..watching those hatches was brutal for sure. I didn't think any of those chicks were gonna survive..especially after she literally tossed one of them outta the pile...crazy girl....but they all did.

ACa has such dumb comments. there are no mysteries here. but they do not watch and if no t spoon fed, they make things up. I have nothing to do with them. Look how well they do not do cams GRrr. thi scam is done by Genesee

but back to genesee, I am a tad concerned . Twice he brought prey and she took out and I am assuming she ate. when she came back , none fo r kids. they are due. I know htye have enough stored for 24 hours but with bad weather , she needs to feed when he brings

finally he came in again with a small bit and she came back in 3 minutes and fed one a wee bit. other got none, egg did

he just came in at 8:05pm with more and she took off with it. hopefully she comes to feed . he needs to jsut push in with it and feed

I think another hatch at 10pm or a bit sooner. saw a big pip earlier

Feed about 50 min. ago..partially blocked..not only by Mom but big blobs or raindrops on the lens..Don't have time to watch from beginning to end...but will go back and play catch up in a few.

(there was an earlier feed today that may show more and explains why the chicks didn't look especially enthusiastic in the latter feed...will go back and catch that one in a few.)

so we will hope she can feed al. she is getting better so hopefully they can hang on. they do look strong.

there are 4 here. male is in , waiting fo r REd to get back with prey.
one in front did not get fed that time

I was afraid it would topple out but after she fed , she picked it up by win g an d got it under her.

Thanks Bev...I'll try and check in this morning..but, then I'm gone...so, I'll be little to no help the next few days. I'll try and squeeze in some viewing between my trips.

Always hard to watch a feeding of such small chicks, but they are all alive and active, some more bites than others.

Some random pictures. The chicks were feed well, I thought, but I did see her step on one as she left the nest to get prey from the male, twice.
