Bird Cams Around the World

August 12

Peter and I were out there yesterday and we ID all 3 youngsters. They were flying and tagging and chasing pigeons.
What a thrill to see. We saw them the day missy fledged and because she waited, she flew strong . All of them still frequent the long lower building to left of box, Great feeding station.
The boys kept coming back for at lest two weeks after fledging. So cool. And then , about 2 weeks after missy fledged, she started coming back during the day. She would stay awhile

We also saw adult male at top of nest stack. Doors were open on box level, so explains why no one has been back to box. I still have cam but it is fuzzy.
Will come back and either post some more photos or do a slideshow. I know it will probably not be viewed but it gives me closure.

Peter and I drove down to Genesee as we have not seen female since april22 and male only once yesterday.

well we found both ( well a male and female ), and it looks like they are nesting under the vent ( (that they should not be doing)

we stayed for a few hours and watched them fly, never going to nest box and then we saw a copulation . thye stayed on roof of blue building and then flew

and then the dreaded thing, she flew under the vent, stayed a bit and came out.
but while we were there they were both in and out of vent. very dangerous so I will have to let Dr Court and plant manger know at Genesee.

so disappointing. Hopefully we can get them back to box.( wish cams would not go up so late, and then we would know why. Usually it is because there are too many threats , like other falcons

I sometimes hesitate to put here as ACA looks around and them posts my information as their own. I really do not appreciate that as they do not watch their cams and then twist things.( and right now I have no use for ACA)

but in doing that I am not letting you know what is happening. Catch 22.

so we saw out there , not sure now, but a male and feamle

so do not know where our resident female was as she had not bee to box, since day cam went up , but today the tides changed

cannot find pciutre but then while unbanded and male were in box, in came M27. Unbanded female almost walked on male to get out of box.

and she was gone . she may still be out there as I do not think things are settled yest

so if things are posted elsewhere, I know it is my notes, as no one else knows what we have seen

I have forgotten to take pciutres thi s month

but all is well. It is a bit strange at times,
eggs will be later than usual. but male has brought prey to box a few times, so we are on track now

we have a big wildfire not far from Genesee, so there will be lots of bird traffic , coming through.. This will have an affect on our pair here, also.

something has been up since May 4 , they have not been around much and no prey taken in.

not sue what is going on here. a young unbanded female comes in from time to time.

this morning I thought our female would lay an egg and now no show.

Peter and I have been out there several times and we stay for around 3 hours. When we are there we see nothing amiss. On Sunday, we saw them both but could not figure out what was going on.
we have to be so far away and when we move positions , as we must, I know we may miss something. with the scope , we can usually tell male from female.

I am not ruling anything out , it gets , ???????

it has. they will smolder for awhile as they are burning in peat moss.
