Hamilton- We have both parents with prey feeding the kids! I guess Judson must have decided to join in the fun too! Too cute!

The Hamilton blog has said that Stinson and Westdale have mastered the art of vaulting up onto the top of the ledge when mom or dad bring prey in! Not quite so polite any more…

The Hamilton blog page acknowledged that Westdale is deceased. However her body remains in then nest box and is being used as a food source, which they describe as natural for a wild falcon.

The snow has finally melted off the nest ledge for the Hamilton peregrine pair. One, either McKeever, the female, or Judson, the male is sitting on the ledge they usually make their nest. Edit- A friend of mine shared their band numbers: McKeever is Blk/ blk Z/44. Judson is blk/grn 97/AZ

Hamilton- I spotted a falcon sitting in their nesting area peeking over the edge. The falcon remained there at the end of the ledge nearer the cam. Is that where they choose to raise their family this year? They hopped out and walked the ledge enabling me to barely see a black band. McKeever, the female, hatched in Windsor, Ontario o the Ambassador Bridge in 2019. Her band is black Z/44 . Her mate is Judson, bands 97/AZ b/gr, hatched in the Richardson Complex in Buffalo in 2018.

After an icy night on the ledge, it’s back to business as usual in Hamilton. Judson was covering the eggs first and McKeever came along to take her turn.
