Thanks, PattiO, for that gorgeous close-up. These eagles are simply beautiful!

Yep ... that's me on the chat. :) This slideshow is from yesterday ... and apparently Azalea has made it back to the Gardens!!

Quote from Reese's blog....

Quote:
It appears that Azalea returned to Norfolk Botanical Garden on Sunday Feb 21. I am awaiting a new satellite map and will post as soon as I receive it. Those watching WVEC web cam last evening would have noticed a change in the usual routine of the adults. The female did not take her usual evening flight but instead stayed on the nest incubating her eggs. The male sat on the “love branch” the entire time.

That is when these pics were taken ... right before sunset.

I just have to say Azelea is a little stinker! She came down to Alligator River the day after I was there over the holidays. We went down again for Valentine's Day, and she returned the next day. I'm feeling a little slighted :)

My pics can't match Patti's, but I did get a few shots of a changeover today. Mom cruised down the branch carrying a stick...I'm sure dad didn't appreciate it much!

PattiO...um, falling behind?! Gee, the falcons haven't even started yet...and when they do, we're both gonna be in trouble...I can't keep up now, either!!! :crazy (I knew I'd eventually get to use this!!)
