Cambridge, MD - Weather Update

Feb 9 Today
Cloudy with periods of snow late. Some sleet may mix in. High 34F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Feb 9 Tonight
A mixture of winter precipitation this evening. Then snow mixing with rain at times overnight. Low 31F.
Winds ENE at 10 to 20 mph. 2 to 4 inches of wet snow expected.


Feb 10 Tomorrow
Periods of snow and windy. Significant blowing and drifting snow. Temps nearly steady in the low to mid 30s. Winds NW at 25 to 35 mph.
Chance of snow 70%. 4 to 6 inches of snow expected.


Feb 10 Tomorrow night
Windy with snow showers before midnight. Partly cloudy later. Low 27F. Winds NW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 50%.

I cannot even imagine the physical challenge these eagles must endure for the survival of their eggs or chicks. They constantly amaze me and inspire me.

Perhaps the cornstalks act as insulation in some way. I can imagine the snow falling and the stalks giving a wind barrier or circulation when this snow hits.

This pair is so smart: The pretty bows from yesterday now look as though they've pulled into the nest bowl to help keep the eggs warm.

I've got my fingers crossed that not much more snow falls here today!
