This took me a little while to put together ... but I've missed them this week! :)

21 pics I think. :)

Ok .. I fixed this, I hope. There a bit out of order now though, but that's OK ... you get the idea! :)

Patti, I could not see it. PB says the image has been deleted or moved.

Edit: Thanks for the SS, Patti!

What a great family this is! I just checked over at the Raptor Resource forum to find more info on this pair since they are Iowans. I couldn't find anything. Does anyone know how old they are or any history? Just curious.

obxbarb, I found this on the Luther College website, but I couldn't determine if it is the same pair that was filmed:

History

Filming the nest took place in 2007-08 for the Nature documentary “The American Eagle” (http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes ... sode/4349/).

In 2009, a camera was put on the web to view the eagles during the nesting season.

Barb!! You never saw the show!?! OMG, you gotta watch it! They got a real bad snowstorm right when the chicks hatched. The female disappeared in the snowstorm and was later found dead. The male tried to take of the chicks but couldn't do it alone. The next year he found a new female, she was young, 4-5 years. When the eggs hatched she didn't know what to do ... the male had to show her how to feed them! And this is her! Raising triplets for the second year in a row! :) :) You gotta watch the show!
