I haven't looked in here for awhile, and was shocked to see how they've grown

From Reese Lukei blog: Biologists from The Center for Conservation Biology will fit a satellite transmitter on one of the eaglets on May 5, 2010 at 10:00am.

Wind is wreaking havoc on the cams here today. Looks like this one is down now.

On a recent trip we found ourselves within a few hours driving distance of Norfolk and on the spur of the moment decided to go to the Gardens. What a beautiful spot! There are several photographers with huge cameras that hang out on a regular basis photographing the eagles. Speaking with them, we learned a few of Mom & Dad's habits.

For instance, when we arrived around 11:30 a.m. on April 25th, the kids were sleeping and Dad was hanging out in one of his favorite spots. Left arrow points to the nest, and right arrow points to Dad.

We saw Mom fly in for a feeding around noon but I was not quick enough to capture it. After walking around the gardens for about 3 hours we returned to find Dad perched in front of nest and a couple of heads popping up

Susan, that's great that you were able to stop by for a visit!! Its the perfect time of the year to go with the azeleas blooming. Just spectacular! The paparazzi seem to always be there now...most of them have other jobs, but they are always at the gardens. Nice shots of the eagles too!

Banding two eaglets and applying a transmitter (Today) on one eaglet which
will be named, for tracking purposes. At 10am EDT...
