to branch now so don't get worried (they like to do that to us thats for sure)

I did not get a chance to check in on them this weekend. The oldest was 11 weeks on Saturday ... so it won't be much longer.

12 weeks now! I just saw one ... and I can hear one calling the trees somewhere. I think they have all fledged, but I'm not positive.

Iowa: Decorah Bald Eagle Camera gains technological upgrade
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
DECORAH, Iowa -- A major technological upgrade for the popular
Decorah Bald Eagle Camera will ensure continued enjoyment for the 325,000
people who peeked and eavesdropped this year on the domestic life of an eagle family.

Nature cinematographer Neil Rettig (left), of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and Dave Kester,
of Decorah, Iowa, remove old mounting hardware to make way for a new pan/tilt/zoom
video camera at an eagle's nest about 80 feet up a tree near the
Decorah Fish Hatchery, south of Decorah.

Thanks Kitten...
Bob Anderson is my kind of guy!!

Anderson, who incurred several thousand dollars in debt to pay for the upgrade, said he hopes nest viewers will help defray the cost. "I couldn't not do it after reading so many e-mails from people who appreciate it -- teachers who use it in their classrooms, care center residents who say it's their reason for getting up in the morning," said Anderson, who led the successful effort to reintroduce peregrine falcons to the Mississippi River Bluffs.

People who want to support the service can make PayPal contributions on the group's website, or send checks to Raptor Resource Project.

They've gotten lots of snow! I just opened the cam ... got one quick look (and pic) and then just a tail ... and then it was gone!

Update about the camera angle change
The power went out and the camera returned to its default position.
We are buying and installing a UPS to prevent this from happening in the future.
