Me too Catbird. They are supposed to get heavy rain today, but I think when the second front comes through there will be some snow. Not like the BW and WV though, thankfully. She might lay an egg today here :?

Not sure if we should be happy about 3 eggs . . . but I'll try to remain positive. :sfwand:

A few from this morning. Dad came in for about 5 minutes, but then mom came back and stepped on his tail to get him to move. Minutes later she was in labor.

This pair is one of the only pairs that can really handle 3 becasue of the abundance of food but I worry about mom. Other do it but with a little help sometimes
This rain/sleet does not help her out either.

“Egg Number 3!”

Just as the rain and sleet of another Northeaster began to turn to snow - a third egg was laid by the bald eagles at the Norfolk Botanical Garden.
Just after 12:29 pm the female laid what should be the final egg of this clutch.
The video below shows some of her labor and a brief view of the eggs at 12:29:50 of the camera's time stamp.

The female is currently resting and keeping all three of her eggs warm and dry.

A very nice day in Norfolk...the nest and eagles are drying out.

Mom was yapping at Dad on the love branch, and then went back in the nest. He flew out to get her more food :)

It snowing, and the wind is very strong today. I'm sure they will be fine, and the weather is starting to move North.
