Oh my my my ... so behind. A lot happened since my last posts.

K07 - Aquila - was found drowned on 8/8/10. K08 - not since seen fledging in July. Mortality signal coming from the mainland. Either he drowned as well or dropped his transmitter. No news since.

More recently - big drama on the nest. K01 has been off on sabbatical - he always does this - but in his absence K51 has shown up on the nest. K51 is from the class of 2005 - hatched at the San Francisco Zoo he was fostered into the PR nest. He had been hanging out on San Clemente Island and it was thought he was going to pair up with A32. Now all of a sudden he shows up here. He and Wray have been hanging out together - and working on the nest together. K51 has brought in lots of sticks. It's really been crazy watching it all unfold!!

Still no sign of K01. :-( I missed Wray this morning but K51 is still there.

I'm very sorry that this is happening its is very hard to understand when
you don't have a clue where they are, but if it has to be at least its K51 that is there to stay with Wray
