Some news from Norfolk .... they still need donations for Azalea's transmitter.... copied from the Maine Forum.

Last year when CCB announced that we intended to fit a satellite transmitter to one of the NBG eaglets, we estimated it would cost about $6,300 for the satellite time for the 3-year period the transmitter is expected to last - satellite time costs $150-200 per month depending on satellite time used. While there are over 60 Azalea adopters, we have raised just over 50% of the funds needed - $3,275. There may be folks who considered becoming an Azalea adopter, but assumed we received the funds required. It would be very helpfuf if you could remind your forum members about the Azalea adoption oppotunity. All the funds donated come to CCB. It's an easy process. Click on the "Adopt an Eagle" box at the top of my two blog sites or the Center for Conservation Biology sites.
