Great pics ljames! I didn't get to check in today.

There are lots of cams with sound! All the Channel Island cams in California have sound ... Two Harbors, West End. Shepherdstown has sound but it hasn't been working too good. And the Wild Earth cams ... Hornby, Sidney, White Rock ... all have sound. Oh, and Decorah! They have great sound!

Thanks for the info PattiO. Cute picture Mick. I did check in this morning some and the parent looked very wet. The chicks were hidden. :-) Didn't get a chance to look again.
We've had a very cold cold rain the last two days. The Raleigh area is usually a degree or two warmer than here, but whatever we get heads that way.

Yeah, I hate to see them drenched like that, but I guess it is better than a blizzard.

After the bigger one completely finished, the little one cam forward to eat. They were both fed well.

And now the big one is going back for seconds, I see.

In the above picture, it's the small one eating. The picture is deceptive, because he is much smaller than it looks.

They are both back under parent now.

It's so nice to hear that everyone is eating pretty equally and not much rivalry. Those feetsies are getting bigger. :flirty:

Earlier the sun was out and they appeared to be enjoying.

The little one looks dead but he's not.

How fascinating it is to watch them. Caught a feeding late and I'm assuming that the big one had just been fed because it went down ( but not before pecking the small one a time or two on the back it looked like). Anyway the small one is being fed when suddenly the parent walks to the other side of the nest. The little one gets one more bite, then the big one gets back up to eat again. I bet he got at least 4 to 1 bites over the small one, but the little one looked pretty full already. (they could have been eating for an hour already for all I know) Finally the little one is fed again for a little while and then the parent tries to get them settled in for the night. The big one appears to be trying to snuggle and I swear it looks like the little one pecks him a couple of times too, then they both spread their little wings in a faceoff. (sorry, I was too busy watching to get any pictures of that)

ljames, I loved your description of the events today with these two cuties. The pic of little one sprawled out is so cute. I laughed out loud.

Watched a feeding this morning and I thought it went pretty well. The little one went first and then they took turns fairly evenly. Really kinda sweet, although the small one is better at waiting his turn than the big one.

I checked in a couple of times today, but couldn't watch long so didn't see the little one fed either time, sure he was just didn't get to see it.

I love that last photo!! :)

JudyB posted that she saw the little one actually trying to self-feed today from a big fish that was in the nest! I think they're both doing great! :)

OMG, what the heck is that prey? It's got a tail and feet. Think I'm gonna skip this feeding.

I just don't understand the ways of nature sometimes. The big chick was fed Forever while the little one sat by and watched. Finally, the big one had had enough and the she began feeding the little one Some. It looked like there was very little left and he was getting the scraps. Then the mate brings in more fish and I'm thinking, Yea, plenty for the little guy. But the parent then picks up the fish and moves to the other side of the nest to begin feeding the big one again. Little one turns around, walks over there, and patiently begins waiting his turn again. He is being fed now and maybe enough since he is so much smaller. I'm so sensitive to feedings. Anyway, the feeding is over now, I guess poor Mom has gone to have some food for herself now. They had all better snuggle up tonight, expecting more snow.

I just went in to delete all the pictures that I didn't post today and noticed this one. The little one is just starting to be fed and it appears to have a full crop. :-?

Biggie is working her wings.
