5/6/11: Third baby hatched out today. All are doing well. Parents very busy!!

5/5/11: Second baby hatched at about 4:30 p.m. today.

4/29/11: Our first eaglet hatched today and is doing well!

Trout season opened today. I don't expect any activity in this nest. Yesterday was good. Lucy was eating what I believe to be a woodchuck.

Eagles4Kids: talon, when you say you don't expect activity in this nest, do you mean you don't think they will lay eggs here?

I just meant that with more people close to the nest I did not expect much activity this weekend. Others on different forums say get ready for next year.

I take that as they won't lay an egg this year.

Our eagles did make an appearance this morning for you.

They've opened the door to the hack tower! Kinsey and her friends will soon be free! I see one head looking out at the big new world! I'm sure it will take them a little while to get the courage to go out on the perch.

The 2 other eaglets have left the hack tower, preferring the free, wild, blue skies!! Kinsey is still home, I am sure when she is ready, she will leave. Gate still open, here is a pic
