I don't want to flood the airways with video so, I'll just supply a link :egg9:

While I was putting together this video, the male brought her 3 frogs. This photo is from yesterday. While the female was off the nest he brought a big fat frog and laid it on the egg. Awwwww.

Are any of you watching the Latvian Lesser Spotted Eagles? It's a different nest this year.

Video: Mallad Laying an Egg in Eagle Nest

This mallard is laying an egg in an abandoned (for now) White-tailed Eagle nest in Estonia. This new egg joins several others she has already laid. She is very well camouflaged, but if the eagles make a surprise visit, she and her eggs may become lunch.

The eagles nested here last year, and their two eaglets fledged. The last time I recorded them was on March 17, 2011.

Recorded at 8:30 AM local time.

Video: Broken Eggs…Broken Dreams

White-tailed Eagles visited the nest and destroyed the Mallard's nest, eating her eggs. I hope she safely escaped.

Mom returns with a pine sprig ... Dad heads back off the nest. They are so interesting.... they have a funny chirp, but when they 'call out' they sound just like Bald Eagles.

Video: Black Eagles of Roodekrans Are Back

The Black Eagles have returned, nesting on a cliff next to the Witpoortjie Falls in the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden,.

Although Black Eagles mate for life, Emoyeni has replaced her mate 3 times after 2 of them disappeared. With their shrinking habitat, I'm amazed they have survived.

Egg is due to hatch very soon!

Recorded at 8 AM local time

Aquila verreauxii

Video: Are Tuuli’s Eggs Ready to Hatch?

Is hatching imminent? Tuuli carefully turns her eggs. She also turned her eggs about 15 minutes ago. Does she hear the chick inside? With all the spots, it's difficult to know whether or not the egg(s) has pipped.

Recorded at 9:42 PM local time

1st egg: 4/27
2nd egg: 5/1
Hatch watch: 6/1
