I have been checking when I can , as I know this is a new cam. Go into chat every once in awhile.

Sure wish the nestbowl had been built up more. these guys are wandering a bit too much. Hope all remains safe .

everybody do your fish dance again tonight and in the morning. Pantry is empty, but at least the kids went to bed with pretty full crops. .

Good day, with several small feeds. .Mom/Dad fed the rest of the yukovers and dad brought in one fish. .Some aggression by R1, but not as bad as Tuesday. Tomorrow will be the test if there is not a fish for breakfast. This is when R1 really is aggressive. .

James River is still high and muddy. .but dropping.. slowly. .Fishing is very difficult right now. .

Oh, what a difference a day makes!! Yesterday, one fish and an unidentified delivery last night. Today, 3 fish, a squirrel, and another unknown something. The pantry is full, the river is obviously better, and the babes are growing like weeds. Not sure what the final tally was, but at least 10 feedings today.

This is just great to see.

I am always torn at this time of year because I spent 3 years monitoring eagles and now I have no time.

But they are dear to my heart.

The following is a rare sight indeed. .part of a family dinner. . Mom (on left) is feeding R1 part of the squirrel and Dad is feeding R2, fish. . later on. . R1 decided she preferred Fish and went over to join Dad and R2 . This feed went on like this for about 10 min. I think.

The cam is off because of Verizon/computer/software thingy :comp

obxbarb has been busy working with Verizon trying to get it back online. It's expected to be back sometime today (Monday).

Latest update courtesy of the CCB FB page,

"We are sorry to report it will be at least Wednesday before the cam will be back up and running. We are dependent on the schedules of a number of contractors. This project is CCB's top priority, but bringing this cam to you requires outside resources, and we are at the mercy of their schedules. We all miss watching the eagles, and are doing everything we can to get them back online."

The Richmond cam came back online today. It went offline on Apr 6th. Many many thanks to obxbarb's work & CCB for getting this cam back online.

I was able to get a screen shot of a giant bird on the nest.
