so we have eagle #2 back

all the canoodling with all of them,. someone is bound to turn up to lay eggs :egg16: :egg16:

I think these eagles are all sisters and they are playing with dads mind. that they all keep coming back, there does not appear to be too much aggression.

What a web they weave :egg6: :egg6:

DAd must really have his chest puffed out :egg 19: :egg 19:

Hope Reese won't mind, but I'll just copy over his latest update from today. Its just unbelievable!

The show is not over yet!!

At 6:09 this morning the male and #2 female mated and both left the nest. The male made another appearance at 8:02 for a couple minutes. No other action until at 5:58pm when female #2 comes to the nest for about one minute. One hour later - surprise - female #3 (known as Dirty Tail because of her dark tail feathers) shows up at the nest and stays for three minutes (last at the nest Apr 8). Then at 7:59 female #3 returns and the male arrives a minute later. The female #3 lays down then both fly to back branch, then leave. Off camera you can hear eagle chatter. Hmmmmm!

So who will show up tomorrow morning?? Stay tuned, the show continues.

PS: - From Apr 8 to Apr 16 female #4 was at the NBG nest

The situation is so totally crazy and unprecedented (I think) it can easily fill five new chapters to the sciencebooks about Eagles . . . . . . :teehee:

Priceless SGB! thanks to Shoebutton for being so clever! It could be captioned "The Sister Wives of Norfolk!"

I am also interested in the details of this awesome sculpture of Mom. Who took it? When?

That picture was posted on Facebook. It was taken on Wednesday ... 1 year since we lost Mom. :( The sculpture was placed there last year ... after we lost her. Someone made it - I can't remember the details.

This beautiful sculpture was created by Turner Sculptures on Lankford Highway
in Onley, Va. which is on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. They are very well know
throughout the area and have many other beautiful pieces of work on display
in the region. While I'm here I'll post this picture of Azalea from the 2009 NBG family.
I spent some time with her one morning earlier this week.
