:thankyou A big thanks to Beth and KF for checking in on the kestrels! It's nice to see some of the fledglings returning to their nests, and it's even nicer to see some chicks that haven't fledged yet.

I checked in on the Devon kestrel nest this morning but there was no sign of the 2 chicks - I think the cuties have walked right out of camera range. :?

What a nice surprise this morning! The cam was offline for quite some time after two of the chicks died, but the cam's back online (at least for now) and there's a cute chick there.

The little kestrel chick was flapping its wings quite a bit this morning. He/she is taking a break in this picture.

Fledging has started! It looks as if 4 have fledged and 1 remains, but it's hard to tell with this cam focused in so close.

Thanks for keeping up with the comings and goings of all the nests...I can see I've got my work cut out for me this weekend trying to really catch up...

Well Kempten has changed their view finally but I think maybe its a day or so late
I haven't seen the kestrels yesterday in the nest so maybe they have left already
Sure hope not well might not know now it looks like the camera is STUCK :wildman:

KF - Thanks for the video of the Kempton chicks...it's so nice to still see a couple of kestrels that haven't fledged yet.

England - Devon

The two chicks are still out of the camera range. They should be fledging about now, but I guess we'll never know if they remain where the cam can't see them.


Germany - Gasmert & Karlsruhe

The chicks should have fledged at both these nests, but I'm not able to view either one of them.


Italy - Ginger and Fred

According to the Italian Kestrel forum, our little Lesser Kestrel chick fledged on 7/21.
