Pot Plant Owl

I thought mom & dad were both there at first, because there were a total of 4 owls, then I remembered that one of the owlets had been in rehab, so I went to the blog & sure enough--the little one (Teeny) was returned. There was some concern about how welcome his family would make him/her, but even though he/she is much smaller than the others, Teeny jumped right in there when food was served & got his/her share!

(This was after dark so I had to lighten these pics.)

A video was posted on Teeny's return to the pot after having been in rehab. The surprising thing is, Mom was on the edge of the pot & stayed there when the lady walked up to the pot & put Teeny in.

Amazing! But looking at Teeny now, I'd say that s/he's already grown.

Hmmmm .... they zoomed out a bit... I'm not sure where the 2 bigger owlets are but Teeny is on the ground(porch floor) and can't seem to figure out how to get back in the planter!

edit ... OK, there is at least one in the planter and one on the ground ... not sure who is who (no pun intended  )
