Does anyone know whether this nest isn't on the Nesting Calendar? I don't see it listed under WA Wildwatch...

Great catch Patti,
Any guesses how many there will be this time around?

I'll say 5

And from the posts it seems they think there's been a 5th hatch at Starr but they're in a big lump so it's hard to tell! :vallaf:

at Oceanside tonight.
It was reported on USTREAM that Sidney was "attacked by an intruder" twice tonight. She's O.K.

Here are the video links

At Oceanside

There is an eggshell but no baby owl. Chat is saying that it was broken by Sidney and from what they could see, contained dried yolk. So, now there are 6 eggs for Sidney and Mel.

Edit: Nancy just told me that this egg broke on the 11th.

:snowmancarrot: Hi all. These barnies are keeping us busy, jumping from cam to cam to catch new hatchings! I clicked on the Dutch NestkastLIVE site to check in, and caught someone checking out the box. From the way it looked around, looked at the camera, and had a hard time figuring out how to enter since there is a turn in the entrance hole - I think it is a new owl. Looks like maybe a male, it is light - it also checked out the nest twigs and such, walking all over and then had a slight problem getting out. It is not used to the way it has to fly out, or else jump down, turn the corner, and step up to get out. Thats why I thought it was a new visitor. Maybe it will bring its mate and make a new batch of owlets for us to watch? Check out the pics, hope you like them :wavingsnowgirl:
