:loveshow: Hi all, enjoying all the barn owl babies? Here are a few pics. I checked in on the swiss owls who are still in the cuddling phase, no eggs yet, the dutch owls at NestkastLIVE, Owlivia has Rocket, Jett, and yesterday Chase hatched! Here are the names on Willows 7 owlets: Noelle, Sweet Peeps, Baby Bear, Brumby, Piper, Sparrow & Elf. Twig went to the rainbow bridge :( Here is a pic of Noelle and Sweet Peeps sticking out Willows back while she fed little ones.

I'm always amazed at the large pile of eggs barn owls can generate and incubate. Not to mention the little ones.

:wavingsnowgirl: Hi all. Kittenface saw your comment re bnows being sometimes hard to watch due to losses. Willow and Starr both lost #7 owlets, and could still lose #6, the next week will tell. Hard to see littlest getting trampled during food deliverys. If you want to be safe, you can watch Lucy or Owlivia, who have only 5 in the clutch, there should be no surprises there. Plenty of food for that number. Also, Sydney is getting plenty of food, and for now 6 looks safe, hers are not that far apart in sizes. That could change at Sydneys in a week if things went bad, but for now those 3 sites are the "safest". I have stayed away from Starr and Willow on purpose since largest are huge and smallest were still hatching. My choice. Good safe viewing on the others, so go ahead and enjoy these beautiful creatures, they are comical and sweet and all mothers are great at their clutches!
