For all the BO crew! Image

A barn owl made itself comfortable on David Letterman's desk, thanks to zookeeper Jack Hanna. The surprisingly fluffy animal contentedly perused the studio audience as Hanna pulled out a plastic bag with "Biohazard" emblazoned on it. Inside were several dead mice.

You are 100% correct aurora! It was so cute I didn't even pay attention to the
obvious GHO ... Maybe I should move the link :egg16:

Here, there are indeed 6 and all sizes are represented:

The latter one is so small among the others that he's invisible most of the time.

I'm not so sure there aren't 7 there. They are SOOO hard to count. I've been trying and trying! Don't know if the little ones will make it though.

Still working on some pics ...

OK ... there's about 20 pics here. Got too busy to upload them!

I like this one :egg119:

I feel that we have to wait until they have all grown a little to achieve the distinction and finally know their exact number ! ^^

Pessouzix-I was just about to ask about that, has anyone seen any of the adults in recently? I checked almost all day yesterday and saw no sign of the adults?

I also raised the issue. Not always be there to see, I just noticed that the pups were alone and I thought that parents spent just to dispose of their food but since I see that little corpse left behind, I'm worried!

I kept an eye on the nest randomly most of the day yesterday and part of last night and didn't see any sign of mom or dad or food dropped off. Seems weird though, you would think that if one of the adults was injured/sick/etc. that at least the other would return. Worried for the other babes now though. :egg15:

the nest also seems very dirty ... my god, this really gives the impression that these babies are abandoned! :/

I don't think so, I'm pretty sure it is one of those "let mother nature take its course" situations but I did email a couple of the emails listed on the site just as a precaution. didn't know exactly which one to use so I just messaged a couple of them. I want to keep checking the cam to see if mom or dad show but at the asme time I'm starting to get that sinking feeling that we are sort of watching the babes and a possible slow demise.

Thank you theharrishawkmademe for sending these emails !
I hope there are people on site able to help these babies if necessary.

There were 7 eggs at the start ... How many chicks could you count now ?
