I saw the raccoon. I have missed the eagles every time I checked in. Have seen the great videos though and I am so HAPPY to see them. They are very FAT. :snowflake3:

I am going to find the better link to the nest. The one that does not go off every 12 min or so. I will post when I have a minute to find it. If you have it KF will you post it too???

there are the two cams at RRP and they stream for about 12 minutes and then seem to need to be refreshed.

I watch on http://birdcam.xcelenergy/eagle.html

The cam stays on and you can move from one view to the other. Hopefully there will be daily pics of FSV also. They have been there in the last seasons. If you have all of that info feel free to delete this post. :)

What a drive!
here is a link to photo bucket to see the photos some with the new camera and some with the old one, still my fav camera but love the zooom on the new one. any way enjoy all the photos and so happy to have Xcel cameras up and streaming!

If anyone can get out there, they should put a guard around the base of that tree. Usually eagles won't even return if racoons invade the nest. Ugh!

Obxbarb

There have been raccoons on this nest the last 3 seasons. Once mom is on the nest they stay away. We had a lot of conversations with RRP over the raccoons in 2011. They assured us that they put guards around 2 tree trunks. however we still saw the coons before eggs were laid and after the juvies fledged. I will email GJ and see if they are still in place or if he would check it out. He was fixing the cams in Oct.

No views today the cams were down when I checked on the nest.

The cam is finally back on and the wind is blowing and it looks like snow or hard rain :cold:

It has been snowing. Glad to hear that the cams are live again.

Greeley Joe responded to my email and he says they will go put the guards around the trees and probably moth balls too. Thank you GJ
