Possibly black 25/AW (red tape on right?)...not in the data base. the 25 is clear..the AW..looks weird..so, maybe not.

I'm hoping that this guy just stumbled across this box/area and that Dixie and Yankee are protecting kids..and maybe keeping them out of the area.

I won't be able to watch much more today.

1 more pic..not much better. He visited for a 3rd time about 30 min. ago...and he doesn't just pop in either...explores the box..then spends a few minutes on the perch before leaving.

I posted on Peregrine Place FB page..and Carolyn headed over immediately to UB. Per Joyce Miller on Peregrine Place FB, possible ID is Hickory, a 2021 hatch from AMD Mills, Port Colborne..which is not far from Buffalo.

No sign of Dixie, the kids or Yankee as of about 30 minutes ago. I'd like to think that Dixie and Yankee are keeping the kids away from the box right now.

it started about 7 this morning. Dixie was in and was being swooped .
I am just up and had tape up all night . just indie and perch cams
I have on vidoe

Bev, could you see a bird trying to knock him off his perch (and being successful)? It happened so fast I couldn't see if it was a juvie or an adult?

Thanks..I couldn't sleep, so started watching about 6:30 am..for no reason than to look for Juvies...saw Dixie..who didn't appear alarmed, but was looking above her and appeared to be echupping..of course, I thought juvie or Yankee...boy was I wrong on both accounts.

Thankfully, per FB, Carol is at UB and monitoring..and also looking for our Buffalo family..This dude looks little to me!!

Unfortunately, I will be out the door in a few and won't be back until tonight, so sorry I will be of no help.

I did see that in real time...and you're right...it was so fast, my brain wasn't processing...plus I was looking at prior video and not the nest. Glad you caught that, Bev.

yes, I started going through my tape, and it did not click at first I had 8 hours. and then when I looked again, it was Dixie that was being swooped and it was not juveniles.
Man, I hope Yankee is o.k.
this is not good, so Dixie and hopefully Yankee will have to keep kids safe. luckily, I think kids should be hunting or learning to.
I am out thi s afternoon, but will put my cams on hold an d put tape on with buffalo
