Awwww. Seeing little Jay watch Bea after she fledged was just too sweet.
 And the music was perfect.

Although I wouldn't trade a minute of watching Bea and Phoebe, wouldn't it have been interesting to watch Phoebe build her new nest. She was just there, but no sign of the kiddos.

She looks so regal up there on her new throne. Wonder if the cam will be repositioned for better viewing.

Busy morning for Phoebe.
Defending her nest.
The last one she chases away is one of her kids, I think.
The middle part of the video is in slow motion.

Arles, that is a great video!

Video: Phoebe Speaks her Mind!

Turn up your sound and hear what she has to say around 2:30 in the video. After she leaves her nest, there are some furious tweets off-camera. Other hummers have flown by earlier today. Are these her children? Competitors? Suitors?

I've seen 2 hummers at the same time. By the time I got my recorder going, they had buzzed away. :-?

"...children? Competitors? Suitors?" Whomever, they are making some noise there!! I am always amazed at the vroom sound when Phoebe takes off or lands.

It is a very loud sound! When I was pruning one of my salvias (the hummers love them), an Anna's hummer flew right by my ear and startled me. She was probably warning me to stay away from her flowers!
