Hi Beth! It is also one of my most favorites. I fell in love with them last year. When they left the nest as a family, I remember it was like 7am or something, after sunrise. I actually had tears coming down my face! Tears of joy, but also sadness because after watching the parents with the eggs, and seeing both babies hatching, you fall in love with them for the 24 hour period you will only actually see them...I knew I would miss seeing them grow, and I knew it would hurt! They are such beautiful creatures, Im sure I will cry once again! :eastergirl:

I occured to be at the place when mom stood up to go to a swimming break - and there they were, two eggs! .. and now up again for third time..


Here mom is coming back from her first (what I saw) break.

The young hatch after an incubation period of 26-31 days...

I peeked at the cam several times late last night, and she was awake the whole time. Rain was falling, too. And the temperature had dropped.

A few minutes ago, I caught her napping, a well-deserved nap!
