Here's Tiina working on her nest. She's been flying back and forth all morning....

The video I uploaded to YT was around 309 MB! Best to watch it on YT and click on the large player.

Have to be a night owl to watch this nest, if you live on the U.S.!

White Storks in Poland (1)
There are about 50 thousand breeding pairs of white storks in Poland (out of about 200 thousand worldwide). There are many nests with cameras.
One of the best known is in the village of Przygodzice (difficult name, isn't it?).
The address of the camera: http://www.bociany.ec.pl/
Video is for the Windows Media Player.
One has to click on the link: PRZEKAZ STRUMIENIOWY (STREAMING) to activate the Player.
This year's calendar of events:
April 04 - the female (name: Przygoda) arrived at the nest.
April 05 - the male (name: Dziedzic) arrived at the nest.
April 08 - the first egg was laid.
April 10 - the second egg was laid.
April 12 - the third egg was laid.
April 14 - the fourth egg was laid.
April 16 - the fifth egg was laid. (They are very "regular", aren't they?)

The hatching is expected any moment now!

The latest news from Przygodzice: :egghatch: The first hatch reported about 9:00 p.m. (local time)

White storks in Poland (2)
Another important stork nest is located in Warszewo – a suburb of the north-western city of Szczecin.
The camera address: http://www.warszewo.pl/bociany
The calendar of events:
April 06 - the female (name: Tosia) arrived at the nest.
April 11 - the male (name: Antek) arrived at the nest. They immediately started mating.
April 13 (Friday!) - the first egg was laid.
April 14 – the (unlucky!) egg was lost – fell down from the nest.
April 15 – the (second) first egg was laid.
April 17 - the second egg was laid.
April 19 - the third egg was laid.
April 21 - the fourth egg was laid.
April 23 - the fifth egg was laid.
The hatching is expected about 16 or 17 of May.
Pictures of the nest: The camera changes focus (maybe automatic?)

Wow - Some nice stork pictures here! (I just wish I had more time to check out the storks, ospreys, eagles, owls, etc.)

Warszewo
No hatches yet...
But Tosia (female) brought a piece of white plastic to the nest and it stuck to her beak. She tried to get rid of it but was unable to do so for quite a long time. It would be sufficient to hold it with her foot, but somehow she did not have this idea. And her partner did not help her either. People were giving them advice over the chat :egg13: but they did not read it.

Estonia Black storks
There is probably a pip in one egg.
Image
And there is a sound (like quacking) that can be heard, especially when the parent gets up - sounds of chicks from inside eggs! :egg16:
