Hello, falcon fans. We have some sad news to share. Our beloved female of the past few years, 72/BV "Cranberry," was just found deceased on campus as the result of a window strike. She was a gorgeous bird and a phenomenal mother. We will miss her greatly.

I tried to do a search on the forum for her band numbers, but wasn't successful. I got an error message.

The HPAI preliminary results on Anna of the KNF-1 nest were inconclusive. When the vet went to retrieve her remains from the freezer to continue his/her planned course of action to search for the cause of death, he/she learned that her remains had been incinerated...Go to site to see the FB announcement on this disappointing turn of events.

They officially declared hatch just after midnight Jan15 but I am sticking to my time as per video. Every site has its own rules. Those of us watching at that time, saw all but bum. As a matter of fact Rise seemed to push little bum back in shell :loveshow:

Now they have officially changed it back to before midnight lol . The main thing it is here :loveshow:

Pa Berry and Mom's 2nd egg began collapsing (that could be seen per cam at least) at 9:16 pm on 1/20/24. Their 1st egg was seen collapsed for the 1st time when the cam returned late morning on this same day. More at site with video.

Just in to report Gabby has not been seen since just after 12pm yesterday.
Please do not speculate or believe what you see on FB. Nothing official has been reported. The poor mods are dealing with unfounded reporting , as usual. Gabby was not sick.
This is nature and we have been given great privilege of being along for the ride. Beau incubated for a half hour just after 4pm.
Egg has been alone since then.
Beau was on nest tree just after 6 am this morning, for an hour.

We watch and wait. And we must remember always , this is nature( tough for the mods and all of us who have been along for a wonderful journey, this year)

Not when it comes to eagles..but, we will try and keep track of falcons!!
