Cam is back on. Eggs unattended. Oh, two birds just arrived and one left. Can't see bands. Left again.

We had this cam last year: Russia~Ufa, URALSIB Bank~not good results.

I think it has just gone live. 4 eggs ready to hatch any day.

Kansas City Plaza: You all REALLY should go back to about minus 10 hours 30 minutes to see something very unusual. Already two hatches, male comes in the box while it's still dark and slowly pushes himself towards the female and the chicks. Then he slides one chick and an egg underneath him while female covers the other hatch. I don't think I have ever seen anything like this behaviour before. First I felt some anxiety, what is it he wants with the new born chick. But apparently he over the moon with his babies and wants to cuddle and brood

5/16/2022 :: Update on "Red"
The latest update on "Red," the young falcon currently being treated for trichomoniasis at Red Creek Wildlife Center, is that this young falcon's health is improving. Following a second treatment, Red should be ready for its return to the Rachel Carson State Office Building (RCSOB) by Wednesday. Planning is underway for this return to be done in such a way as to minimize any disturbance to the other three nestlings.
The other three nestlings will also be treated for trichomoniasis when Red is returned. This is preventative so the disease is not spread to the other three youngsters.
Additional updates will be provided prior to the release.

You did, sky! Obviously Red Girl would've had to be taken away for treatment, but the others could've been treated preventively at banding. Now they are all out and about on the ledge and will have to be captured. I wouldn't want to be the poor soul responsible for that! Unless they go at dawn and they are still asleep in their nest box, but not even sure if that would work out...
