Mom, " picked at it, then attacked it and then picked it up and flew it across the road where she dropped it, narrowly missing a van!! Linda was kind enough to put it on the boulevard for me. When I left, I stopped and got it, Alfrieda came screaming at me, swooping, got Velcro into the mix! Boy, she was mad. Don't blame her lol."
They actually got a pic of mom carrying the broom away!! Very impressive.

From Facebook: Gabe just got 2 foster siblings..1 male and 1 female. they are approximately 5 days older than Gabe. The two chicks came from a dangerous nest at Detroit Metro Airport.

Hibbard chicks were banded today. No volume so I don't know what they discovered. Follow up on that--(me).

MISUE posted this on the misc Michigan thread :”The lone Jackson chick died on 5/19 or 5/20 for unknown reasons. The only good thing to come of it is that I was able to capture the bands of the dad as he stood on the windowsill. Turns out he is a 2019 hatch from this nest named Alro (b/bl 56/C) which means he has been mating with his mother the past couple years.”
