Parents and Noel are perched in the nest tree, Nick did not make it back before nightfall. Maybe tomorrow he will make it back! :loveheart2:

Nobody is home right now, except "Larry" the Green Anole, who has just turned brown! :egglaugh: I don't think Nick has made it back yet. Can't tell anything from chat as "class is in session".

:clap: Thanks, Loza!!! Mod is reporting Nick has not returned to nest. Saying it is not uncommon for fledge to stay away for a couple days and parents are probably feeding him. They have a diligent ground watch crew!!! :eggthumbup:

update form chat

Noel returned as chat was closing and has been perched since. Romeo and Juliet returned at 12:48p and one of them dropped off huge catfish head with 2' long spine. Noel ate a bit and J fed her, before J had some herself. At 1:55p our wonderful ears heard Nick's squees as he returned to the nest since his fledge and proceeded to eat! Look for more updates later

they were on same branch and NOel accidentally knocked NIck off. he went down. they are hoping he flew after drop.
someone going to check it out to make sure he did not come to ground. Darn he just got home and wants to be fed.

But I have seen this with falcons and they right themselves and fly. He probably just got a scare

Hope to see them both when I ch3eck in again.

edit to add.

not on ground and some saw him take flight at last minute on WC

well he will be back.

I think as soon as he sees food he is at the tree LOL come of us are not getting cams . server issue

But the best news of the day is Nick returned to the nest this afternoon but was bumped off the branch by sis, Noel, and down he went. Nick (aka Thumper) is taking a beating, that little rascal. He's safely perched across the street from the nest for the night with nest in view. He and Noel conversed back and forth for some time before dusk.
