Mid-day Re-cap: After their morning rain dance on the nest, Nick & Noel perched on various branches. Parent brought in bass just before 10a & Nick ate the most. Noel came down and got a few leftovers. Glenn reports he can hear Nick & Noel's squees, and Juliet was perched in the lumber yard most of the morning where she kept an eye on Nick and Noel. She brought a nice white bass for Noel and a squirrel for Nick.

Nick and Noel are together, asleep in the nest. Mod reported Romeo and Juliet flew away together to sleep in their "special spot" earlier tonight :flirty:

Mod reports storms are moving through area and AEF has provided nest tree with lightning protection. Never knew that. Great idea! :eggthumbup:

Nick and Noel are both home. :flirty:

Mom gave them a bath earlier that they didn't seem to mind, per mod. :teehee:

28/3 Morning

AEF-NEFL Eagles 3-28-15 Noel's Scary Owl Encounter

Caution this footage could be alarming to some
but those in charge at NEFL wanted you to know what happened and that all is good now.
At 6:12 this morning Noel was perched in the nest tree when what sounded like a Barred Owl swooped in
and knocked her off her perch.
You can hear her decent but we cannot see where or how she landed.
Cam operator looked for a long time and could not locate her.
Finally at just around 7:00 she was seen on the wide angle cam (not included)
and Nick's reacted to seeing her. At 8:46 she flew up to join Nick near the nest.
