Thanks for the correction, Priscilla. Yes, that was a Hobby. (I used to watch the New Forest Hobby, but I hadn't seen a Hobby in such a long time that I'd forgotten what it looked like.)

Dettingen - There seem to be 3 chicks still in the nest.

Kempten (cam 2) - It looks as if all 6 eggs have hatched.

Saker - The Hobby has been hanging around the nest this morning, even doing some scraping in the nest box.

But ... this night (it's 4 AM in Israel right now) at least 3 birds - I assume 3 juveniles - have returned to the nestbox.
I am really curious what happened (I didnot see it) when the first fledgling left the nestbox and who that was. I have a feeling it must have been # 4, since the past week he was always in the window on the lookout for food (ending up with less food, being less developed) - he might have been pushed out in a "food-frenzy". Another reason why I think so is that the remaining three looked very much alike qua size, posture and plumage.

Elyakim - The nest box is empty again today. I'm thinking that the fledglings have been coming home to spend the night, then leaving to explore their world during the day.

Lausen - I thought there were just 4 chicks here, but I spotted 5 chicks just now (one must have been hidden all this time).

Saker - The Hobby is back again! I don't think things are looking too good for the kestrels to be nesting here.

I think that now the nest is permanently occupied by Hobby, see forum peregrine falcons viewtopic.php?f=430&t=1910&start=240

Rhine (Kamera #5) - Looks like 4 hatches here, sometime between the end of May and beginning of June.
