On the 'nanny', apparently a third falcon has been seen near the nest and both Aria and Vento have been alarmed by this. Impossible to say whether it's the nanny but she should still have juvenile/sub-adult plumage. However, I don't think that Aria and Vento would be so tolerant this year!
Here are a couple of pics, taken on 2 and 4 March respectively by Randj and Sandro - thanks for the pics

Thanks for the video SGB. She seemed on high alert looking up constantly. At first I thought I had paused the video, but then I saw her head move a few times.

I don't know...there were 2 vids posted on their forum showing her to be at high alert...always looking up..Nothing else appeared in those vids...on the vid I posted, she's looking up constantly and then all of a sudden, flees the box..video ends...

I kept the cam up just to see if she would return...thankfully, she did...but, eggs really are wet...hope they are ok...cam is so blurred from the rain, its hard to see what has been going on...but, I did get this:

I'm guessing that is Virgilio that brings the prey into the box..seems large to me though..but, with such a blurry cam, hard to know...

I've had a look at the various videos and read all the posts and there's no comment about the eggs being left today. They were left quite a long time on Sunday and several people commented on this.

The weather has been terrible in Rome today - heavy rain, hail, what even looks a bit like sleet and also lightning. There's also something that's obviously bothereing both Alice and Virgilio as they both keep looking up - I wonder if there are other falcons or crows, perhaps.

Thanks for checking and giving us an update Warbler. I hope the eggs were not left too long...
EDIT: I put a note on the nesting calendar about this...

Warbler, thanks for the info...I can't say how long they were left, but they did get rained on a good bit while I was watching...that's when I went to the forum to see what was going on...A few minutes before I posted my video, mom had just returned to the eggs (didn't catch that on the vid)..she sat for a few minutes before actually getting on the eggs..so, they were probably uncovered for over an hour...and I have no clue how long they had been alone before I posted the pic..

I wonder what's up there above the nest? I wish they had a cover. If it was hailing, they may have been getting pelted by it.
