Things are getting pretty sparse at the WE nests.... Tahoe, the pigeon poaching peregrine is not to be seen at home, nor at her Bio Sci haunt.... No one home at Valley or Port Washington, or Oak Creek, but on the Valley cam, they have brought the "Party Boat" to its winter moorings....

Kittenface, I hope that Rare Thumb sighting you caught, heads over to Biosci!! It would seem that when one of those gets in a nestbox with a cam, the cam housing becomes magically clean!!! :laugh2

Thankyou for the slide show, Kittenface! Actually they are there even more than I thought... I wonder if the thumb belongs to the baggy jeaned round bottom we saw a few weeks ago?

I found a peregrine at the nestbox this morning at Pleasant Prairie and PORT WASHINGTON . I had thought the Port Washington Falcons migrated each year?

When IndyFroona was there, she made annual pilgrimages to the BioSci building until she would get ousted close to nesting season. I am not sure where Brinn spends her cold weather season. Another factor this year that could be encouraging the birds to stay is our milder than normal winter. If there is prey there, it might be worth sticking around.

I sure hope they will soon migrate and not get caught up in the bad weather, but it is so nice to still see them.
