I really do think there is some environmental reason why we are loosing so many chicks. they do not have enough nutrition in them when born, ( which of course comes from the adults)

I think they need to start looking at this. We have become too complacent

this is so sad

Bev...I think something is going on, too...Its really hard to know with this cam. Its great to have the archives, but you miss alot with just those pics..

We think both of these adults could be first time parents and I'm not convinced the original male wasn't displaced.

Anyway, caught a feed live...well, as live as a refresh cam can be.

Meet Peregrine Falcon Parents Rupert And Mimi
Resident bird expert and curator of UW-Green Bay's Richter Museum of Natural History, Tom Erdman shared photos and details of the University's newest parents. Rupert and Mimi are the Peregrine falcons currently nesting on the roof of the David A. Cofrin Library.

Rupert
Rupert, an adult male, replaced the unbanded male present at the start of breeding season. He 'matriculated' from UW-Oshkosh campus site getting his rings in 2014.
Mimi

Mimi
Mimi, an adult female in her second year at UW-Green Bay, came from the We Energies, Milwaukee Power Plant. She also was hatched in 2014.

Peregrine eggs
Since the time this photo was taken, all four eggs hatched and there are four chicks. 'Getting any pictures before banding is doubtful because the nesting situation,' explained Erdman. 'The banding schedule is still being developed as this will be quite difficult.'
