I am very excited this year and I am hoping that Moxie has much success!! The Fort Wayne box has only had 2 nesting pairs in its 29 year existence. Freedom was the other female and her last clutch was at age 13 and Moxie will be 14 this year and Jamie 15. They are a remarkable pair so I hope they provide us with another year!

Moxie and Jamie did a little pair bonding earlier. Currently she is taking a nap in the nest box on this windy, chilly day.

U/09 Elaine visited both Lacrossse Wsic and GSB in MN several times, and in 2024 mated with Newman.

March 2, 2025 she was seen at both nests.

Elaine is the granddaughter of Moxie and Jamie in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

We didnt know who she was in 2024 so we called her Youwho cuz of her U band. :biggrin:

Jamie is an awesome “baby Daddy”… Moxie has started her “I’m going to have an egg, can you guess when “ tease for us. She often goes for a week before she actually lays it :biggrin:
