I knew about Pittsburg Hays, but am unfamiliar with the Hamar nest. Always a shame when a nest fails. Thanks for the explanation Antilogical.

Harmar is about 20 miles east of the Hays nest. There are plans for a webcam next year.

Can you imagine what the Hanover nest must smell like? But I think I've read that eagles don't have much of a sense of smell, if any.

They don't...the other day while dad was "baby sitting"...the kids were sleeping...so, what did he do? He spent his time snapping at flies....wonder if he got any..LOL

OMG!!! I think I count 12 fish in addition to the 2 mammals in your pic, Catwoman! Someone needs to tell this Dad he's been hired!!! :teehee:

EDIT: On second thoughts, I think someone may lay somewhere on the OCD spectrum, as in "HOARDER!"

Hanover

Dad was feeding & mainly one was getting food cause he'd bonk the other one in the head if it got too many bites. Then Mom came back & she was personally feeding the "underfed" one. Both parents ended up feeding the kids at the same time! :clap:

That is a skunk for sure ... I saw lots of different pics of it on FB. They never have gotten around to eating it so I hope one of them gets rid of it soon. It was probably roadkill.

Watched a feeding of the Hanover eaglets around 8:00 this morning. Those two are really growing, and pretty sure their eyes are open. At first one adult was doing the feeding, but then the second one arrived and they were both feeding. I assume it's now mom eagle up there sheltering the eaglets from the wind this morning.
