Egg or no egg? That is the question.
Someone (not sure who) is laying in the bowl tucking nest material all around its self,
and food on the nest. HMMMM!!!

No egg-it is Dad in the nest...

Eggs last year - Jan. 6 and Jan. 9....

Shortly before that picture, Mom was sitting there and I thought, "Maybe this is it!"

mom is sitting in nest. I think we are nearing the time . she just called out . is there an egg. I have recorder on

in comes dad with another stick.an dis placing it at 6 oclock

will try and post some pictures form my recording later

they are both watchful . very breezy at nest

11:35am Just clicked on and it looks like Ma is there... occasionally calling. Sounds like she's hungry!

Nothing yet (3:12pm); she left the nest for a while after above post and returned at 2:39pm.
Chat thinks she's in labor (chatters have been watching nest for years - on cam and in person).

She was just calling out but still does not seem to be in an egg laying position. We'll see....

Darn... nothing yet.
Mom started hollering (again) about 45 minutes ago - Dad finally came. They both chirped for quite some time, to each other and to possible intruder(s) in the area; or maybe Mom was hungry. Dad did a lot of work on the egg cup. Approx 20 minutes ago, they both flew off. Boots on the ground (from chat) said that they went to the mating tree, mated, and Mom flew to the field and Dad flew toward the river. Boots on the ground did not notice intruder - but he may not have been there at that time.
As I type this, I can hear rustling on the nest.. someone may be back (6:07pm).

Added: Just took a quick peek - both are on the nest; looks like Dad is digging again! :flirty:
